What the client was up against

Elimu had built a business around video-based tutoring content but was distributing it via YouTube links in WhatsApp groups — they had no branded platform, no way to track learner progress, no payment wall, and no analytics. Retention was poor because there was no structured learning journey.

Our Solution

How we solved it

We designed and built a full-stack LMS on Next.js with a bespoke video delivery layer (adaptive bitrate via AWS CloudFront), course authoring tools for instructors, a learner progress and certificate engine, and M-Pesa + Stripe payment integration for course purchases. A mobile-responsive design ensured the experience worked equally well on low-end Android devices common among the target student demographic.
